Bloom and Grow

I am in love with Danimoy Design's new kit called Flutter. The color scheme, painted papers, flowers, butterflies and of course paint splats. It's a part of Scrapbook Byte's July GAB, so each pack is $1 through July 17th. Great deal! Here are the links:

I snatched it up and made a layout with it. I am all about using a split design right now, I guess I am following the trend :) Carina's one year old photo was perfect for this kit. I framed the photo in the center of the split background papers and achored it with a bottom cluster filled with flowers, ribbons, cloud border, leafs, and paint splats. Thanks for looking!

Halloween Layout

I have created a Halloween layout for Angel's 2nd year scrapbook. I am loving the way it turned out. I used 2 kits, Smell my Feet by Bella Gypsy and a few elements from Jeepers Creepers by Connie Prince. I also used a freebie for the title. I tried my hardest while designing to include no flowers in this Halloween layout and I think it still looks complete with the other elements.

The journaling reads: This halloween Angel was a lion cub. He was too cute. We even taught him how to roar and caught it on video. We went to Aunt Sheryl’s halloween party and Angel loved playing with his cousin Justin who was dressed up as a duckling but would not keep his hat on. Either way, Angel had a great second halloween. (Halloween 2010, age 13 months)

I have not been feeling well and have tons of things on my to-do list but I love it when I can get a layout done that I feel proud of!

High School Prom Layout

I have completed another layout today!! I've been wanted to work with Crisdam Designs' Project June for a while now but didn't have any photos. Yvonne took these photos of Crystal before her High School prom. I just love how happy she looks :) I used an old freebie template from Mye De Leon and I am loving the way it has turned out.

New Layout - Merry Christmas Daddy

I don't quite know what motivated me to re-do this layout today. But I became motivated to add to Angel's 2nd year scrapbook and came across an old page I did too quickly because I didn't have the time.

But I love the way the new layout has turned out. The border work with ribbons, beads and strings is something I have been wanting to try for a while now but I never liked the way it came out. I also used CP's cluster frame and added "Daddy" for the title and a journaling spot.

Journaling reads: Angel’s 2nd Christmas was quite special. I love this picture of him and Daddy on Christmas morning because I can still remember the moment. I know it isn’t the best photo quality but seeing them together so happy warms my heart. Journaled by Mami. Christmas 2010.
