High Voltage - A great new Boy kit from Bella Gypsy

I didn't mention that I was offered a CT spot on Bella Gypsy's CT team about a week ago? I'm so happy I accepted! This new kit by Bella Gypsy released today called High Voltage and is perfect for scrapping those wild and energetic boys in your lives! Check it out :)

Here's the layout I made with it. It's called Outta Control. I used pictures of Angel climbing up on the desk in his PJs. It was probably about 8 in the morning and I was washing dishes. Then I noticed what my little man was up to. It's too crazy that these pictures were from almost a year ago! Where does the time go??

Spooktacular Word Art pack and Alpha Set - Word Art World by Jen

Feeling the Holiday Spirit coming!!

I'm excited for this years Christmas, are you? I recently went looking through the last couple of years Christmas photos and was inspired to scrap some of them! Here's my two layouts: 

Christmas through the years 

Pictures of my sister Carina, in 2007, 2009, and 2010. Totally not my fault as to why there is no 2008... my mom isn't a photographer, like I am. Oh well, I love the way this turned out because although there is a lot of busy-ness with the layers the white space in the layout creates some balance. 

For this layout I used Trixie Scraps: Winter on the Mountain

My second layout, is called Happy Holidays 2010. I haven't scrapped that many layouts from last year's Christmas and primarly it was because the photo quality was horrible in most photos. But I managed to find these three photos of Angel opening his big present - a talking soccer goal :) The colors in the layout are softer and I decided on a vertical design for clusters and photos. 

For this layout I used Happy Holly Days by Karen Lewis Designs

My first Hybrid Card

Hi all! I saw on the hybrid chic blog's card caravan challenge and I was excited to try it. I have to say, I know exactly who will be receiving this thank you card and I know that a handmade card can sometimes make all the difference. The challenge was to use twine, and although I wasn't too sure how I was going to do the challenge because I was sure I didn't have any lying around. BUT, when unpacking one of Angel's birthday gifts was twine used to keep the toy in place. I love the fact that I can reuse materials, not only because it's free that way but also because every small effort can make a grand change when it comes to our environment.

Anyway, enough talk :) Here's the card.

Angel's 2nd birthday party!!

I am so pleased and happy how my projects turned out for Angel's 2nd birthday party! I used Aprilisa Designs' Out at Sea kit throughout the projects with the addition of a clipart Elmo to create a unique theme just for Angel.

I made cupcake wrappers and toppers, pinwheel cakepop toppers, food signs, jam jar labels, a banner, flatware tote and a door sign!

New layouts!!

Things have been a bit crazy in my world lately. Sorry for the lack of posting! Here's my latest P52 layout for week 29. I have been stalking TDC for a while now but I finally decided to try my hand at a challenge, and here's my result. It took forever for me to complete the layout but I am happy with the way it has turned out!

My second layout, again is from a challenge at TDC.  It's called One Reason I Smile!

Designer Apprentice Challenge 2

This week's challenge was all about papers, specifically about creating textures.

Using brushes and following tutorials to create textures was exhausting at first!! Once I finally got my head in the game and began creating something I really loved... it became fun and it was such a rewarding experience!!

Designer Apprentice Challenge 1

Ok, so I'll admit this is my first mini kit. I have messed around with designing for fun but here is my first finished product! I love the way it turned out. 

The challenge was to scan and extract at least 2 things in your mini kit. I scanned and extracted the 2 different sized flowers and the striped ribbon. If only my scanner would have cooperated with me, I would have had more elements :)
